IET and Cranfield Hydrogen Report Green Paper for the IET Sustainability and Net Zero Policy Centre
Event synopsis:
Join us for a drop-in session with keynote speakers to explore the findings of a new Green Paper from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), developed in partnership with Cranfield University, examining the role hydrogen can play in delivering the UK’s net zero ambitions. Hydrogen has the potential to be a critical enabler in sectors where direct electrification is impractical or uneconomic, including heavy industry, long-haul transport and long-duration energy storage.
This event will bring together policymakers and experts to discuss the findings in the Green Paper “Hydrogen for a Net Zero UK: Building a Secure, Scalable and Resilient Hydrogen Economy”. Exploring ways in which the UK can unlock a secure, scalable and resilient hydrogen economy, and the practical steps needed to accelerate deployment through coordinated action on infrastructure, skills, finance, regulation and safety.
